  3. Yes. When applying for an application pack from the website, immediately after posting the form on-line the next screen will ask you if you wish to download an application form. This is available in both Word (.doc) and Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) formats.

  12. In the first instance, you need to speak to the department you applied to and you will have a contact name and number on the correspondence. However, if you remain unhappy the Council has a complaints procedure. On NorthWeb, you can fill in an online form, download the leaflet form or request that we post one out to you.

  15. Yes. Write to the Head of Personnel Services, Administration Department, North Lanarkshire Council, PO Box 14, Civic Centre, Motherwell ML1 1TW, stating the dates available, qualification your are studying, any work experience and a daytime phone number. The Head of Personnel Services will write to confirm receipt of your letter and inform you that you have been added to the list. The employing department will contact you direct to arrange an interview.

  16. The Council advertise for a new intake of Skillseekers around July/August. The advert will appear in the local press. Application forms will be made available from the Careers Service.

  17. Every effort will be made to ensure that you are not disadvantaged at any stage of the recruitment process. If you require an application form or additional information relating to the post in another format, this can be made available on request. If you tick the box on the back of your application form, indicating that you have a disability, then you will be guaranteed an interview if you meet the essential requirements for the post. If you require any assistance with your interview, such as a signer, this will be made available on request.
