Finance and Customer Services

Welcome to the Finance and Customer Services' home page.  Finance and Customer Services is responsible for financial management within the Council and developing the Council's Customer First Strategy.  There are three Divisions within Finance and Customer Services as follows.

The Efficient Government and Service Development Division is responsible for the development, maintenance and operation of the Council's information technology and for driving forward the Customer First agenda.  

 

The newly established Financial Services Division sets and monitors the Council's budget, prepares the annual accounts and provides financial advice. 

 
Our Revenue Services Division makes arrangements for the collection of all income due to the Council including council tax, non-domestic rates and income from service charges.  Other important activities include the procurement and payment of goods and services, the provision of payroll services and the processing of housing benefits.
 
In addition, Finance and Customer Services provide an Internal Audit service to the Council.
