Voluntary Sector Strategy

An Open Space event 'Working Together to Serve North Lanarkshire', took place in May 2001. The purpose of the event was to improve working relationships by developing a written voluntary sector strategy that is shared and understood by all.

Participants were asked to be a part of the ongoing process of developing a Voluntary Sector Strategy.

Small groups met throughout the Summer of 2001 to produce a draft which was launched on 29 November 2001. It highlights codes of practice on

  • Funding
  • Community Organisations
  • Volunteering

The Voluntary Sector Strategy has been developed by the North Lanarkshire Partnership which includes representation from the statutory, voluntary and community sectors.
