Supporting People Plan - Planning & Delivery of Supporting People in North Lanarkshire

North Lanarkshire Council has implemented working arrangements to ensure the successful implementation on Supporting People. The Supporting People current planning structure is outlined below.

North Lanarkshire Supporting People Planning Structure 

  1. Core Co-ordination Group

    This is the main policy decision making body with elected members, Convenors of Social Work and Housing and Property Services Committees, relevant departmental directors and senior representatives of other key stakeholders.

  2. Supporting People Team

    This team is the main implementation body. It services the strategic planning structure, co-ordinates the supply mapping and needs analysis, ensures that housing support services are delivered to service users and oversees contract monitoring and compliance.

  3. Strategic Planning Group

    This group ensures that this Supporting People Plan is linked with other relevant national and local plans and strategies, sets out the strategic direction of services and monitors and reviews this Plan.

  4. Contracts Letting Panel

    This group has responsibility for Supporting People commissioning and purchasing arrangements. The Contracts Letting Panel's role will be to ensure that commissioning decisions contribute towards achieving the objectives of the Supporting People Strategic Plan.

  5. Information Technology/Finance Group

    This group maintains and monitors the I.T. system that is in place, which meets the Scottish Executive's requirements. It also oversees Supporting People Finance including the payments, charging, service, and contract monitoring arrangements and performance data gathering and analysis.

  6. Communications / Training Group

    This group reviews the Communication Strategy, which takes account of the needs of users, carers, providers and other key partners.
