Section 1: Introduction and Contents
Welcome to our Performance Plan for 2003-2004. It provides stakeholders with a clear indication of the Council's key priorities and activities. Progress will be monitored during the course of the year and the results will be included in the annual Performance Report.
The content of the Performance Plan has been informed by the Corporate Plan, Service Improvement Plans, Partnership activity and has been influenced by the findings of the Residents Survey which identified local people's priority concerns and aspirations.
The Corporate Plan 2001-2004 identifies seven priority themes arrived at in partnership with local agencies and communities:
The Performance Plan contains selected key indicators, planned service delivery improvements and priority actions for the coming year. Departmental Service Improvement Plans and individual strategies, including the North Lanarkshire Community Plan and the Social Inclusion Strategy provide more detailed information.
