Publication Scheme - How To Use This Publication Scheme

North Lanarkshire Council in formulating this Publication Scheme has aimed to make it as user friendly as possible. NorthWeb, the Council's website - www.northlan.gov.uk - hosts a huge range of information about the Council and other services of most interest to the public. The Council has recently redesigned its web site and, then, expanded the information published on it - and the Publication Scheme follows that general design while providing even more Council information.

The Publication Scheme is not simply a list of the documents the Council publishes – instead the information is divided into categories or classes based on general classifications. Because these classifications are general, it is designed to be possible to identify the information easily without any particular knowledge of the structure of the Council or the way the Council works. In addition, at the end of the Publication Scheme, there is a detailed alphabetical index.
