Spotlight on Success Awards 2004

Introduction

Once again, I am delighted to be able to introduce 2004 's 'Spotlight on Success' catalogue, which profiles just some of the many projects submitted for this year's Spotlight award. Four years on, the tide of innovation and enthusiasm continues unabated. This year, we have extended the categories of 'improving learning and teaching', 'removing barriers to learning', 'developing partnership strategies', 'creating a positive ethos', and 'developing citizenship' to include 'enterprise'. I am sure that you will enjoy 'surfing' the contents for ideas and inspiration!

The catalogue is a celebration of the combined efforts of staff, parents and pupils to make education a memorable, significant and enriching experience for all our young people. I'm sure you will agree that the projects listed are worthy of inclusion for doing just that. Equally, for all those of you who are thinking 'but we do that!' or 'that's not a patch on what we do!' -a challenge: tell us about it! I look forward to being able to celebrate your project next year!
