Cllr Smith welcomed all to the meeting, particularly to Hugh Logan, Principal of Motherwell College who has agreed to take over from Brian Lister as representative of the consortium of Further Education Colleges. Also welcomed to the meeting was Stephen Fraser, from the Council's Chief Executive's office (Information and Research) who leads NLP's Information Sharing Group and who would speak to Item 6 of the Agenda.

Apologies were noted from Councillor Jim McCabe, NLC; Ken Corsar and Tim Davison, NHS Lanarkshire; Chief Superintendent Anne McGuire, Strathclyde Police, Gregor McKenzie, NLC, and Crawford Kirkwood, NL Voluntary Sector.

These were agreed as an accurate record

Local Area Partnerships – Mary Castles would later give a presentation on progress to date

Scottish Executive Regeneration Policy Statement – a letter has been submitted to the Scottish Executive outlining concerns expressed at the previous meeting of the NLP Board. A copy of this letter will be distributed to Board members, for information.
