Young people under 16 are invited to enjoy a week of aquatic fun during the October school holidays with North Lanarkshire Leisure & North Lanarkshire Council supporting the continuation of the Free Swim Initiative.
Everyone under the age of 16 can use obtain free entry to all North Lanarkshire Leisure pools, 10am to 4pm from Monday, 13th October until Friday, 17th October.
The scheme has proved immensely popular since its inception and youngsters have enjoyed over 1.5 million free swims over the last seven years.
The added bonus is that the scheme simultaneously provides an enjoyment and health giving activity in a safe and secure environment.

Swimming pools are gearing up to welcome the young swimmers and extra staff will be on hand to cope with the anticipated influx. Parents/carers should note the following admission requirements designed to maximise safety:-
· children from 4 - 7 years of age must be accompanied into the water by a responsible adult with no more than two children per adult.
· under fours must be accompanied by an adult on a one to one basis.
· children eight and over are free to enter without supervision.
