Question: What computer hardware and software do I need to access NorthWeb? Answer: NorthWeb has been designed to suit most modern browsers and standard computer configurations but displays best using the following Internet Browsers:
Earlier versions of these browsers may not display some NorthWeb features properly. You may also experience similar problems if you are using other browsers.
Question: At what screen resolution is NorthWeb best displayed? Answer: We recommend that you display NorthWeb at either 800x600 or 1024x768. Each computer operating system has its own methods of changing the screen resolution and your computer's own help files should give instructions on how to do this.
Question: Why can't I access a link to another website? Answer: There are a number of reasons why links to other website could be unavailable or running very slowly – from problems with the specific site's server to problems with the browser you are personally using. Question: Why does the information I am looking for appear to be out of date or unavailable? Answer: This is usually due to the set up of your browser which may be accessing web pages you have previously visited which are now stored or cached on your own computer. To ensure you are viewing up-to-date information, you need to perform a global refresh on your browser, by hitting the Ctrl and F5 keys on your keyboard. This should ensure that our most recent pages are displayed for you. Your browser help facility should give details on how to change your set up.
Question: How do I turn on or 'enable' javascript ? Answer: There are different directions depending on the type of browser you have guidelines for well known browsers are detailed in the table below:

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options and then click on the Security tab. Highlight the Internet zone then click on the Custom Level button. Search through the list for the Active Scripting option and click Enable. Click OK and then close the window. Click the Refresh button of the page requiring Javascript. |

On the Edit menu, find the Preferences option. Select the Advanced arrow from the list on the left side of the window. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript then click OK. Close this window and then click the Reload button of the page requiring Javascript. |
