Question: What accessibility standards does NorthWeb meet?
Answer:
NorthWeb has been designed to accommodate the needs of users with visual impairments or physical disabilities. At present, we are Bobby testing our site to ensure that it complies with World Wide Web consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative guidelines.

Question: I have a visual impairment. Where can I get help and guidance on using the internet?
Answer:
The Royal National Institute for the Blind's (RNIB) ICT Customer Services provides impartial advice. The RNIB website also has an online shopping facility where you can buy specialised computer equipment and software as well as information on Services in Scotland. The AbilityNet website also provides useful information on Using a Computer with Impaired Vision.

Question: I have physical disabilities. Where can I get guidance and help on how best to access the internet?
Answer: The AbilityNet website provides a whole range of useful information and advice on alternative and adaptive technologies available as well as a series of factsheets and skillsheets to help computer users with physical disabilities.
