Licensing Board - Gender Equality Scheme and Action Plan

Introduction


North Lanarkshire Licensing Board ("the Board") is constituted under Section 1 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 1976 as the relevant Licensing Board for the local authority area of North Lanarkshire.  In terms of The Sex Discrimination (Public Authorities) (Statutory Duties) (Scotland) Order 2007, North Lanarkshire Licensing Board is designed as a "Public Authority".   That statutory instrument places a duty on the Licensing Board to produce its Gender Equality Scheme. North Lanarkshire Licensing Board is fully commited to eliminating gender inequality and promoting equality between men and women.
