Equalities Impact assessment summary sheets

What is an equality impact assessment?

Equality Impact assessments (EIA) are a way of examinining the main functions and policies of and organisation to se whether they have the potential to affect people differently.  Carrying out and EIA on our policies, practices, decisions, functins and strategies will help us identify any negative impact on particuarl groups of people and therefore allow us to remove it.

North Lanarkshire Council's Equality Impact Assessment Toolkit covers the 6 equality strands covered by legislation: Age; Disability; Gender; Race; Religion and Belief; and Sexual Orientation.  It also covers the Rehabilitation of Offenders.

The Equality Impact Assessment summary sheets are listed alphabetically below.  Please select the first letter of the policy or function to view the assessment summaries.  Please note that if you follow one of the links below and the page is blank this indicates that no summary sheets have as yet been submitted.  Race Equality Impact Assessments undertaken prior to 2007 are also available to view on the website.

Full details of impact assessments are available on demand from the contact us box on the page where the summary sheet is displayed.
