Juniper Road, Cedar Drive & McCracken Drive, Viewpark

On 27 September 2007 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on drainage works) on the undernoted locations by reason of works being executed on or near those locations.

Location 1

Juniper Road, Viewpark from a point 15 metres south of the extended line of the southern kerb of Woodview, northwards for a distance of 180 metres or thereby. 

Alternative routes:  Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing to travel to the north side of the closure should proceed southwards on Juniper Road, eastwards on Woodview, northwards then north-westwards on Laburnum Road then southwards on Juniper Road to the north side of the closure.

Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing to travel to the south side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Location 2

Cedar Drive and McCracken Drive, Viewpark  from a point 15 metres north of the extended line of the northern kerb of Ivy Road, southwards on Cedar Drive then eastwards on McCracken Drive for a total distance of 180 metres or thereby.

Alternative routes:  Vehicles on the west side of the closure wishing to travel to the north side of the closure should travel westwards then north-eastwards on McCracken Drive, south-eastwards on Laburnum Road then southwards on Cedar Drive to the north side of the closure.

Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing to travel to the west side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Vehicles on the west side of the closure wishing to travel to Ivy Road, should proceed westwards on McCracken Drive, northwards on Blackthorne Road, eastwards on Redwood Crescent then northwards on Tamarack Crescent.

Vehicles on Ivy Road wishing to travel to the west side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing to travel to Ivy Road should proceed northwards on Cedar Drive, north westwards on Laburnum Road, southwards on Spruce Road, south eastwards then southwards on Tamarack Crescent. 

Vehicles on Ivy Road wishing to travel to the north side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Vehicular access to adjacent premises will be maintained, where possible, by arrangement with the contractor during each closure.

The Juniper Road closure will last approximately 10 days and the Cedar Drive and McCracken Drive closure will last approximately 15 days and neither closure will take place at the same time. 

The Order will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday 8 October 2007 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday 11 November 2007.
