The Council owns plots of land used as garage reserve sites. Tenants and owner occupiers can rent a plot from the Council and erect their own garages.
Allocation of Garage Reserve Site
To apply for a garage reserve site, contact your local Housing Office, using the contact us box at right. We will let you know whether there is a waiting list of if the site is available. Before commencing any work, you must contact Building Standards to obtain a building warrant.
Termination of Garage Reserve Sites
If you wish to terminate your lease of a garage rent site, you should give us 28 days notice. If there are any remedial works required on termination, you will be recharged for the cost.
