Code of conduct

Following the issue of statutory Guidance by the Scottish Ministers under Section 65A of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, as amended by the Police, Public Order and Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2006 the Council has developed a Code of Conduct which reflects local conditions and experiences and takes account of the new statutory framework and the good practice set out in the Guidance.

 

The Code of Conduct is intended to be a general one which applies to those who organise processions, and those who wish to participate.
