Air Quality Monitoring Stations

North Lanarkshire Council has the following Air Quality Monitoring Stations:-

Automatic continuous real time analysers located at:-

  • Main Street, Chapelhall  monitoring NO2 and  PM10
  • Whifflet, Coatbridge monitoring NO2 and  PM10

Two mobile Air Quality Stations monitoring PM10, NOSO2 currently stationed at:-

  • Hirst Road, Harthill
  • Constarry Road, Croy

Non-Automated Monitoring Stations:-

  • Pb is monitored at the Civic Centre, Motherwell as part of theUK Ambient Metals Network
  • SO2 is monitored in Coatbridge as part of the UK sulphur dioxide and smoke survey
  • NO2 is monitored as part of the UK Nitrogen Dioxide Network.
