Yes - Cleansing Services will lift any non-hazardous, domestic waste that you may wish removed - click on Special Uplifts for further details Back to Top Domestic and wheeled bins are available in three sizes, depending on your circumstances - click on Wheeled Bins for further information and ordering details Back to Top Back to Top Incidents of fly tipping should be reported to NorthLine Environmental on 01698 403110 - your call will be treated in confidence Back to Top Household waste which cannot be disposed of by placing in your wheeled bin may be disposed of by talking the refuse to one of the Council's Waste Disposal and Recycling Centres or by placing a Special Uplift request - certain restrictions may be in place in relation to the disposal of certain types of waste - check on our links above to see what can and cannot be disposed of Back to Top The Cleansing Services section of the council is responsible for litter removal in most public areas of North Lanarkshire including town centres, roads, pavement, residential areas and open spaces - a regular litter picking operation is in force throughout the council but if you know of an area that requires attention you should report it to us by phoning us on 01698 403110 Back to Top Information on the services provided for trade/commerical premises can be obtained by contacting our Commercial Sales section on 01698 302712 or click on Trade Waste Back to Top Wheeled bins should be placed on the footpath to the front of your property for 7.00 am on your designated collection day. Back to Top All areas are litter picked at least twice per month and mechanically swept on a six to eight week cycle. Areas of high usage such as town centres, etc, will have a much higher frequency of service Back to Top Cleansing Services is not licensed to either uplift or dispose of clinical waste - for further advice and information click on Clinical Waste. Back to Top Each housholder is entitled to three free uplifts per year (April - March). Any subsequent uplift will be subject to a £15 charge. Back to Top All incidents of excessive littering or request to have an area cleared of litter should be reported by contacting Cleansing Services on 01698 403110 Back to Top Back to Top Brown bins have been provided in most areas for the collection of garden waste. Please do not use plastic bags as these cannot be composted. After the waste is collected it will be taken to a central composting facility where the compost produced will be used for land restoration.
