The Insurance Team is responsible for ensuring that the Council has sufficient cover through external insurance policies and self-funding to cover risks which can affect the Authority and / or its residents and to minimise that cost to the Council and its taxpayers.
Where an individual feels that they have suffered loss through negligence on the part of the Council then they should complete the Third Party/Public Liability claim form. To download a copy please click on the request box at the right-hand side of the screen.
There has to be proven legal liability and negligence before a payment is made.
