Council Tax - Disabled Persons Relief

A Council Tax reduction may be possible if any resident is disabled. The reduction takes the form of a drop in valuation band from, for example, 'C' to 'B'.

From 1^st April 2000, people living in a Band 'A' property may also be eligible to qualify for a reduction in their council tax. The reduction for Band 'A' properties will be approximately 17% of the council tax charge. If you think you may qualify please contact your local council tax office.
