Support Services for Homeless People

We recognise that being homeless often creates many problems and barriers for people. Often access to services that many of us take for granted becomes more difficult and in some circumstances almost impossible.

We therefore have developed a homeless strategy that recognises the role support and support agencies play in helping homeless people overcome these barriers.

Listed below are details of  agencies and other resources you may find useful. Details are available by clicking on the appropriate heading.

Accommodation

We have a duty to provide accommodation to homeless and potentially homeless people. We currently provide temporary accommodation to over 300 people in a variety of settings. Our homeless strategy outlines in more detail how we will provide temporary accommodation in future.

  • North Lanarkshire Council's Homeless Persons Temporary Accommodation.
  • Voluntary Sector Accommodation.
  • Addiction Support Agencies.
  • Health Support.
  • Rough Sleepers.
  • Citizens Advice Bureau.
