Homeless Emergency Out of Hours Information

We recognise that homelessness and other housing emergencies can happen to anyone at anytime.

To ensure that assistance is available 24 hours a day, we provide an emergency out of hours service.

The service operates every day of the year between the hours of 

4.45 pm and 8.45 am.

To contact the Emergency Out of Hours Officer

• Freephone  0800 953 2424 for information, advice and assistance, or
•  Call at your local Police Station.

They will contact the emergency out of hours officer who will deal with your request for help and provide the necessary advice and information.

If you are homeless the emergency out of hours officer will, if necessary

• arrange temporary accommodation for you (and your family)
• ensure that your belongings are secure
• arrange transport for you

• a Housing Aid Centre such as Shelter
