Alert is an emergency response service which enables a wide range of people including frail older people, those with a physical, mental ill health or learning disability and house bound individuals to remain safely within the community.
It allows people to call for help in an emergency at any time, day or night, on any day of the year.
The service user can set off the alarm fitted in their home when they require assistance, sending a call to the control centre which is based within Merrystone Care Base. An Operator can respond to the call in various ways:-

Provide reassurance

Arrange for a Home Support Worker to attend the home

Contact a key holder who will have access to the home or can release keys

Contact the Doctor, an Ambulance, Police or Fire Services on behalf of the service user
The Community Alarm - Alert Service currently provides free services to over 7,000 services users throughout North Lanarkshire. It provides:-
