Sports Grants

The Sports Grants listed below are only available to current members from the Area Sports Councils of Monklands Sports Council, Motherwell District Sports Council, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Area Sports Council.

 

Various grants schemes are available and include:

 

 

To provide the opportunity for Area Sports Council affiliated clubs to support the development of a Junior Section where none already exists, or to provide assistance to existing Junior Sections of clubs where deemed necessary.  

 

 

The visit must be in connection with a contest/event, training/tuition or a festival of sport.   This grant aims to foster a better understanding, share a common experience and/or also establish a firm contact with a partner community.

 

 

Assistance may be available to individuals to attend National Coaching Courses and to both existing and potential coaches to attend courses delivered by the relevant Governing Body.

 

 

Consideration will be given to take part in UK National Championships at the discretion of the Area Sports Council's Grants Sub-Committee.   Clubs may apply for assistance for participation at UK National competitions and International competitions.   Assistance may be offered to coaches attending competitions with their athletes.

 

 

Assistance may be available for the provision of certain items of equipment, excluding items of a personal nature.
