Access to the site is via Stobcross Street, Coatbridge.

Stobcross Street Waste Disposal and Recycling Centre opened on Monday 28 August 2006. Residents now have the opportunity to recycle more of their household waste. Individual skips are provided for each type of material which enables residents to recycle their paper, cardboard, car batteries, engine oil, glass bottles and jars, textiles, cans, garden waste, scrap metal, building rubble, wood, electrical equipment, flattened plastic bottles and drinks cartons. Residents are responsible for depositing the correct material in the suitably identified skip and are asked to follow the instructions of the attendant.

Opening Hours

Waste disposal and recycling centres are open 7 days per week including most public holidays. (Closed Christmas Day and New Years Day). Opening hours are:

8.00 am until 8.00 pm

Please note: In accordance with site licencing conditions, sites are liable to close at short notice if all skips are full. In such circumstances we will make every effort to service the affected site as quickly as possible. When a site is closed a notice will be displayed showing alternative sites which can be used.

Conditions of Use

Traders or persons using "company vehicles or vans" will not be allowed access to dispose items at Waste Disposal and Recycling Centres. All such enquires should be directed to Cleansing Services by using the "Contact Us" box that appears on the right-hand side of your screen.
