Simon Yates first became known as 'the man who cut the rope' holding Joe Simpson during a disastrous descent from Peru's Siula Grande in 1985, a story immortalised in the film Touching the Void. Twenty years on, Simon is one of the most successful mountaineers of his time, and is touring the UK with his entertaining and inspiring lecture.
