Once you've learned to swim you can advance further by joining an S.A.S.A affiliated swimming club. There are currently five amateur swimming clubs within North Lanarkshire.
Airdrie A.S.C.
Based at the John Smith Pool, Airdrie is probably the least competitive of the North Lanarkshire Clubs with a fun environment which still develops the four competitive strokes.
Bellshill Sharks A.S.C.
Based at the Sir Matt Busby Sports Complex. This club has a proven record of good quality swimmers and currently have a number of swimmers who show great potential for the future.
Cumbernauld A.S.C.
Based at the Tryst Sports Centre. The Cumbernauld Club has produced many junior and senior Internationalists who have represented Scotland and Great Britain at both the Commonwealth and Olympic Games.
Motherwell & Wishaw A.S.C.
Based at the Wishaw Sports Centre. This club has a good base of swimmers who are continually improving. It is a long running club with a wealth of experience and enthusiastic coaches.
Motherwell Masters A.S.C.
Based at Wishaw Sports Centre and Sir Matt Busby Sports. A friendly club which caters for anyone from 20 years old to the retirement years. It is open to swimmers of reasonable ability.
