Shopmobility in North Lanarkshire gives people with limited mobility the opportunity to access their Town Centre shops and leisure facilities with freedom and independence. |

With two bases one located at the heart of Coatbridge Town Centre and one in Motherwell at 89 Merry Street, situated close to Pollock Street/Montieth Road Car Park. Tthe service is open to everyone with a mobility problem to enable them to access the Town Centre facilities.
| Getting out and about couldn't be easier. Shopmobility staff are on hand to provide the guidance and support needed to operate the equipment (including a safety induction and short basic training in equipment use), or if you prefer, we can provide a manual chair with the help of an escort to help you on your visit. |

At present Shopmobility offers the following resources to users of the service, as well as potential customers:-
- 10 Four-wheeled scooters
- 12 Three-wheeled scooters
- 3 Dual power wheel chairs
- 8 Manual wheel chairs
We also provide dedicated parking spaces to make access to the service as stress free as possible. This saves users of the service the inconvenience of parking in a car park at one end of the town centre and then having to struggle to the shopmobility premises.

This initiative is very popular and has been said to have changed the life of some of its users. People who were once house bound can now get out and about to their town centres. The service is available to anyone with limited mobility. |
Everything has been carefully thought of to ensure users of the service are comfortable and safe. The Shopmobility Manager and staff are not only providing this service they are so welcoming that it offers a social scene for some people. Everyone is welcomed and offered support!
