North Lanarkshire Archives : Facilities, Services & Opening Hours

Location
The Archives is situated at the south side of Cumbernauld, in the Lenziemill Industrial Park, off Lenziemill Road. The centre is at the far (east) end of the Kelvin Road cul-de-sac.

Transport
It is a 5 -10 minute walk from Cumbernauld Station which has an hourly service from Motherwell and Coatbridge Central, or a 30 minute service from Glasgow Queen Street, via Stepps. For further details on transport available click on Public Transport.

Opening Hours
The centre is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am – 4.30pm. While no appointment is necessary, it is advisable to contact us in advance, as reader spaces are limited.

Reproductions
A map copying service is available to assist with planning applications and photographic reprints and scans of images from the archives can be ordered. We also provide black and white photocopies.

Help With Your Research
We offer to carry out research on your behalf for a maximum time of 2 hours at the cost of £12.00 per hour. The first 30 minutes is free.

Refreshments
Although there are no refreshment facilities available on the premises, there are a number of outlets within a short walking distance that can provide refreshments for readers.

Car parking
Free car parking spaces are available on the premises.

Facilities
Public toilets are available for readers.

Disabled access
The Archives is accessible via a ramp and we do our best to accommodate disabled users. Please telephone in advance if you have any special requirements.
