What does the Access Forum do?
The North Lanarkshire Access Forum is a statutory body created under Section 25 of Part One of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, it has a statutory function to:
Advise the Council or any other person or body consulting the Forum on matters relating to:

The exercise of access rights;

The existence and delineation of rights of way;
-
The drawing up and adoption of a plan for a system of core paths.
Offer and where accepted give, assistance to parties who are in dispute about:

The exercise of access rights;
-
The existence and delineation of rights of way;
-
The drawing up and adoption of a Core Paths Plan;
-
The use of core paths.

How can I get involved?
The Access Forum AGM will be held on Wednesday 30 April 2008 at 6.30pm in the Clyde Room, the Watersports Centre, Strathclyde Country Park and everyone is welcome to attend.
The Forum is currently looking to appoint new members to represent the interests of:

Farmers and Land Managers (2 representatives)

User Groups (1 representative)

Community Groups (3 representatives)
