North Lanarkshire Arts Association (NLAA) was formed in May 2001. It is an independent voluntary group which receives support from North Lanarkshire Council. It exists to promote the Arts in North Lanarkshire, encourage participation, increase skills and support members, whether these are voluntary or commercial organisations or individuals.
NLAA is run by a Committee of volunteers drawn from all areas of North Lanarkshire and representing many different art forms. It is currently free to join and membership is drawn from those organisations and individuals that have an interest in the Arts in North Lanarkshire. In turn, these people are invited to comment on how they would like to see the organisation develop.
