The Community Arts team closely monitors how it is performing in a variety of ways. Statistical information is collected and reported to the Director of Community Services and North Lanarkshire Council Community Services Committee every three months. One of the Community Arts key performance indicators is percentage occupancy of Community Arts classes. Our target is 65% per quarter and the results below show how we have performed over the past 2 years.

What are we doing about the targets we have failed to meet?
Target of 100% of venues used for community arts activities that are accessible to people with disabilities was not met, as Pather Artworks does not currently have an accessible toilet facility in the building. The Council has allocated funding to install an accessible toilet facility this year and work will begin soon.
Attendances at Community Arts activities were down on target, compared to this time last year, due to the creative writing programme not operating, as there was a vacancy in the post of Arts Development Officer (Creative Writing). A new Arts Development Officer (Creative Writing) is now in post and the creative writing programme will be up and running soon.
Complaints and Comments – April to June 2004
We received one complaint during the period April to June 2004. This complaint was upheld.
The complaint concerned the lack of an accessible toilet at Pather Artworks. Funding has been identified to install an accessible toilet at Pather Artworks and work will begin shortly.
