The statutory consultation on the Draft Core Paths Plan was carried out between the 9 February and 3 May 2008.
The Access Officers are currently assessing all of the comments and objections received. Following this assessment negotiations with objectors will take place to try and resolve any remaining objections.
In the instance where an objection to the Draft Plan cannot be resolved, Scottish Ministers will direct a public inquiry to be held to investigate whether the Plan is sufficient for the purpose of providing reasonable access throughout North Lanarkshire.
