The Janet Hamilton Centre was built for the purpose of the community in 1992. This centre plays host to community based events within the immediate area such as playgroups, martial art classes, sequence dance classes, after school clubs, keep fit classes, Councillor and MSP surgeries. |

Facilities
The Janet Hamilton Community Centre consists of one main hall and one committee room, which are available for hire to the public. The centre itself is adjoined to Coatbridge outdoor sports centre, which can be booked separately through North Lanarkshire Council's Sports, Parks and Transport Department.
The main hall offers a modern, spacious area for holding a social event. It has the capacity to accommodate 120 persons for a dinner dance and 160 for a disco event. This hall is flexible and can be adapted to suit the needs of most lets.
The committee room is the perfect place to hold small club meetings or gatherings and can accommodate up to 10 persons at any one time.
There are kitchen facilities within the Janet Hamilton Community Centre, which are suitable for re-heating prepared food or for the purposes of a hot buffet. It is not recommended that the kitchen be used for catering. There is also a larder fridge available if required.
Transport
The Janet Hamilton Community Centre is accessible by public transport and a bus stop can be found 150 yards form the centre. There are limited car parking spaces at this centre.

Disabled access
This facility is well suited to persons requiring wheel chair access. There are disabled access points to the building and all facilities are on ground level. There are also disabled toilets available.
