Some of the activities include playgroups, after school clubs, girls brigade, mother and toddler group, senior citizen events, dance classes for all ages, the brownies, keep fit classes, cub scouts, church activities and Councillor surgeries.
Any type of well-organised social function or community based activity would be welcomed by the Forge Community Centre and staff.
Facilities
The Forge Community Centre has a modern, spacious and well-lit main hall suitable for most types of lets. For the purpose of a sit down meal and dance evening the hall can hold a maximum of 120 persons and 140 persons for a disco event. There is portable stage within the centre, which can be set to the rear of the main hall for a theatre event or musical accompaniment for an evening.
If the capacity for the main hall exceeds your requirements then there is a lesser hall available for let. This hall can cater for a maximum of 70 persons for an event.
To compliment the main or lesser hall requirements there is a bar area, which can be used but must be booked if required. Patrons are reminded that if alcohol is brought onto the premises then there will be an additional license fee.
If holding a small gathering or meeting then it is recommended that you use the small committee room in the Forge. Ideal for these purposes the room can hold up to 20 persons.
Kitchen facilities available are recommended for re-heating food only and are therefore ideal for catering for hot buffets and heating of ready prepared food. There is a fridge available if required.
Transport
The Forge Community Centre is accessible by public transport and a bus stop can be found close to the centre. For patrons travelling to the venue by car there are approximately 20 car parking spaces at the centre. There is also access to taxi services in the area.

Disabled access
With all facilities situated on the ground floor this centre is suitable for persons with disabilities or requiring wheelchair access. There are disabled access points to the building and disabled toilets.
