Charlotte Toal Centre

Accommodation

Charlotte Toal Community Centre was built in the 1970's and was extended with another level in 1994. It is very much the hub of the community and plays host to a variety of community-based events as well as being hired for the purpose of one off lets. Activities that take place in the centre include keep fit classes, art classes, Lanarkshire association for mental health, lunch clubs, martial arts and councillors surgeries.

Facilities

The main hall can hold up to 100 persons for a dinner dance and 150 for a disco event. This hall is very adaptable and can be used for most types of events.

Kitchen facilities are based on the ground floor and are of catering standard. This makes this the ideal venue for hiring in caterers for your function.

There is a walk through lounge which is suitable for around 20 people in an informal gathering. People may require to pass through this room to gain access to the upstairs hall.

There is a computer suite on the ground floor which is run by Community Learning & Development and can be booked by calling the area office on 01236 431313.

On the upper level there is a large hall which can accommodate up to 140 people.

There are two general purpose rooms on the upper level which can accommodate 12 in one and 10 in the other. The room for 10 doubles as a pottery room including a kiln.

Charlotte Toal Community Centre is accessible by public transport and a bus stop can be found 50yards from the centre. There are limited car parking spaces to the front of the building. There is also a taxi rank close by.
