Viewpark Community Facility

There are many community-based events taking place here including a playgroup, senior citizen carpet bowling, retired ladies badminton group, credit union, and Councillor's surgery. There are boys and girls youth groups with a group participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. There are also children's' dance classes, youth football with groups from age 5 to 16 years and adult five-a-side football, the Ozanam club that caters for adults and children with learning difficulties and Adult Literacy classes.

There is a small computing suite on the first floor where informal adult education courses are held. Throughout the year various adult education courses both formal and informal are organised in response to community needs.

As you enter the Facility there is a large foyer area. This and some of the rooms can be used for social functions. There is a large games hall, with 3 badminton courts within it. It also has changing rooms with shower facilities. The workshop can hold 60 people whilst on the first floor the multi-purpose room can hold 100 people. The coffee bar has kitchen units and a sink. There is a large kitchen with four cookers and a hotplate, two large sinks and a fridge freezer, all which make it ample for catering. The Facility is open from Monday to Sunday from 8.00am – 11.00pm and is available for lets at evenings and weekends by prior booking only.

Viewpark Community Facility is easily accessible by public transport with a regular bus service and a bus stop in front of the car park. There are approximately 42 car-parking spaces and two disabled spaces. Uddingston train station is just a short journey away.

The ground floor facilities are accessible. There are two disabled toilets on the ground floor.
