Facilities
The facility is opened throughout the year. Housed in the building are agencies and community groups such as:- Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Community and Workplace Nursery, Careers Scotland, the ALPHA Project, Community Work and Community Learning and Development Area Teams, along with various community based groups offering a wide range of activities such as: Dance - Highland, Tap, Line and Sequence. Craft, Drama and computing.
The main hall can accommodate up to 150 adults seated and also has a staged area. The Facility is on two levels and has limited access to the top level for disabled users.
The Facility is open on Mondays and Fridays from 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8.00 a.m. to 10.15 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10.00 a.m. to 12 noon. The Facility is available for lets evenings and weekends by prior booking only.
Transport
Muirfield Community Facility is accessible by car and public transport. There is ample car parking at the rear of the Facility close to Cumbernauld Police Station. If you are travelling by public transport and require details on how best this can be done, click on Public Transport for information.
Disabled access
The Facility is on two levels at present. There is no wheelchair access to the top level for disabled users. The Facility has a ramped entrance to the rear of the building and a ramped entrance at the front of the building. Entrance to the Facility is at ground level.
