Tuesday 30 September - 1.15pm. Motherwell Theatre.
Tickets £4.50 (£3.50 under 25s passport to leisure card holders. School parties get one teacher/carer place free with every 10 tickets pruchased).
Backroom conniving, naked ambition, insider dealing, moral ambiguity, hypocrisy and corruption at the highest levels ..... a dynamic and inventive production with all the elements of thriller, adventure and the supernatural. This is a revival of the final ever show at Mull Little Theatre - an acclaimed, innovative and very accessible production which was loved by critics and audiences alike.
Booker note by Claire Freckleton.
"Mull Theatre was last at Motherwell with their version of Jekyll and Hyde which was a fantastic, dark version of the play with a very clever multi-purpose set. This production has again got a remarkable set and dark, sinister, visual images that are breathtaking.
Supposedly, saying the name 'Macbeth' inside a theatre will bring bad luck to the play and anyone acting in it. The only exception is when the word is spoken as a line in the play. In order to reverse the bad luck, the person who uttered the word must exit the theatre, spin around three times saying a profanity, and then ask for permission to return inside or to run round the building three times - we promise not to make our audience members do this".
