Schools Project - Gaelic Creative Writing Celebration
Thursday 30 October - Saturday 14 November - Cumbernauld Library. Free
Acclaimed Gaelic author Martin McIntyre held a creative writing workshop with P7 and S1 Gaelic speaking children from the Gaelic Medium Schools in September. Inspired by his work the students then completed Marie Macauley's story 'Uspaig and S-S......the Holiday Adventure, in order to enter The Gaelic Prize, an annual Gaelic Creative Writing competition for young people aged 9 - 14 years run by the Scottish Book Trust. Aided by professional artists the young people have brought their stories to life with dramatic adaptations, illustrations and animations to create an accessible celebration Gaelic Writing for all the community to enjoy.
