Steel 1988
Merry Street, Pedestrian Precinct, Motherwell
"I made this piece of sculpture as I envisaged a steel worker might. The red colour is a political gesture, and the stainless steel birds on the branch are having a union meeting. The sculpture forms a meeting place with satellite tree stumps for sitting on".
This sculpture was made for the Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988 and was made form Motherwell Steel.
Parking for this artwork can be found at public car parks at town centre or Aquatec car park, Menteith Road.
