Steel 1975 – 1986
Wishaw Library, Kenilworth Avenue, Wishaw
"I judge the success of my work by experiencing it over long periods. I am less interested in instant impact, than in making sculpture which has a timeless quality."
"The majority of my sculpture have been constructed in steel, early pieces often linear, like three-dimensional drawings. Although my work appears 'abstract', many of the forms have evolved through my experience of living in a wide variety of environments."
"Japanese Anvil" has it's origins in the Eastern landscape and shinto architecture, but it's finished for evokes an anvil or work table.
Parking for this artwork can be found at the side of the library and on the street in Kenilworth Avenue.
