Gartlea Roundabout, Airdrie
The artists main interest is in language which led her to use the town's name as the starting point for this work. The photograph imagery on the surface reflects back a 360 degree vision of the town centre, as seen from the roundabout. By means of computer manipulation, the sky is an intense summer blue, neon has been added to the surrounding buildings and the petrol station now sells litres of air, celebrating the "Air in Airdrie".
"Air in Airdrie" is part of the Sentinel Art Project.
Parking for this artwork can be found in the Safeway car park, Gartlea Road.
