Bellshill Cultural Centre Darkroom

Whether you consider yourself a budding David Bailey or wish to make prints for whatever purpose, then the photographic darkroom at the Bellshill Cultural Centre is an excellent choice for use by members of the public, groups, clubs and organisations. This modern fully equipped and recently upgraded facility is based around three black and white enlargers with enough space to accommodate up to six people at any one time. Throughout the year the Creative Services section of North Lanarkshire Community Services Department run a programme of photography based classes, workshops, talks and demonstrations with many of these exciting and varied activities making use of this well laid out facility. If you are interested in using the darkroom yourself (minimum age if unaccompanied by an adult is 16 years), or as part of a group, then simply call the Box Office at Motherwell Concert Hall & Theatre The darkroom can be accessed most days from 9am until 9pm. Costs are £3.20 per hour during weekdays and £8.50 per hour during weekends.
