Additional comments

  • I have gained a great deal from attending this class, and hope to continue to do so. It is stimulating, educational and enjoyable. It's the highlight of the week.

  • Events arranged for the choir did not take place.
  • Frequently there is a shortage of consumable materials, e.g. popular colours of glaze. Steps could be taken to ensure a more constant supply of such materials.
  • I also enjoyed going to the Salsa classes in Airdrie Town Hall on a Monday afternoon but the Council stopped them because they could not get a dance tutor but we all would like it to start again.
  • I have been very pleased with the Writing Group – everyone has progressed well in their writing.
  • My only comment is that we were shifted from room to room never knowing where we were to be. The venue was finally shifted to a place too difficult for me to access. It was the Writers group in Wishaw. As a disabled person the library was ideal.
  • This is my first experience of attending a writing class and as you will see, my reactions are mixed. Had the room been available throughout the year at Wishaw Library, we could have no complaints. As it was, we were pushed about quite a lot and it didn't lead to continuity of attendance or the smooth organisation of our class. I am sure that regular advertising and a well signed room within Wishaw Library would attract a greater level of interest. In every other regard, I found the class to be of real value and I hope that for the coming year, some of the problems will have been ironed out.
  • Communication between Library staff, tutors and participants. This class has been held for many years – same place and time. How come library staff told me it was not in diary and on another occasion that when usual room was being used the group meet in museum part of library.
  • The class was different to what I was anticipating. You were very much left to your own devices, therefore relying on your own knowledge. I would have preferred more tuition to help increase my knowledge and develop my skills.
  • The quality of service depends on the quality of the teacher.
  • The teacher was magic also the class mates. I haven't been for this term through ill health but hopefully will go back.
  • The writing class is a window of opportunity and dreams. A publication of work may give that added drive.
  • This applies to the teachers with whom I could find no fault.
  • We have an excellent creative writing tutor well qualified, comes in once a fortnight. Other staff very helpful and innovative. Support excellent for projects class suggests.
