Signage that is legible and understandable
6 (20%) said that the signage is excellent, 3 (10%) stated above average, 14 (46.7%) average, 2 (6.7%) below poor and 2 (6.7%) poor while 3 (10%) did not respond.

Overall appearance of the building is inviting
When asked about the overall appearance of the building 9 (30%) thought it was excellent, 8 (26.7%) said above average, 9 (30%) thought it was average, 2 (6.7%) said below average and 2 (6.7%) said it was poor.

Overall appearance of the building is tidy
Respondents were also asked if the if the overall appearance was tidy 9 (30%) claimed it was excellent, 9 (30%) above average, 8 (26.7%) average, 3 (10%) stated below average and 1 (3.3%) said poor.

Adequate lighting outside the facility
7 (23.3%) stated that the outside lighting was excellent. 3 (10%) respondents thought that the outside lighting was above average and 12 (40%) said average. 1 (3.3%) stated below average and 2 (6.7%) said poor while 5 (16.7%) failed to respond.

Entrance is easy to find
When asked if the entrance is easy to find 11(36.7%) said excellent, 13 (43.3%) thought above average, 4 (13.3%) thought average and 2 (6.7%) stated poor.

Adequate parking
There were 10 (33.3%) respondents who stated the parking was excellent, 6 (20%) thought the parking above average, 8 (26.7%) said average, and 3 (10%) below average and 2 (6.7%) stated poor. 1 (3.3%) failed to respond.

State of repair of building is good
Respondents were asked what they thought about the state of repair of the building. 13 (43.3%) claimed it was excellent, 8 (26.7%) said it was above average, 6 (20%) said average and 3 (10%) of respondents stated below average.

Venue centrally located
13 (43.3%) of respondents thought that the location of the venue was excellent, 9 (30%) claimed the location above average and 8 (26.7%) thought that it was average.

Additional comments on facility attended

• As expected for a new building
• Class held on Wednesday p.m. when library is closed to public. Class constantly interrupted by public walking in.
• Class situation disturbed frequently by public wishing to use library which is closed on day of class.
• Coatbridge library would be more to my liking, with full parking at rear.
• Everything was just great.
• Good building, well situated. Could use more litter bins outside. Pathway from Kirk Road badly littered.
• I had difficulty finding Pather Artworks as it is set well back off the main road. A sign on the corner of the street indicating the artworks would be helpful, as I drove past it several times before I found it.
• Interior of the building is quite run down, could do with refurbishment/updating.
• Probably difficult to maintain owing to the age of the building.
• We have to stand sometimes for 15 mins or so waiting for the teacher to come to open the door to our class. As we are mostly pensioners we find the lack of seats in the library corridor somewhat frustrating. Sometimes we sit on the cold stone stairs but this isn't very satisfactory.
• Staff very unhelpful.
• The facility suits all members of the group as it is centrally located – it is convenient and feels safe for those who use public transport in particular. It is accessible for buses and trains.
• Very difficult to find the library.
