Strategic Planning in North Lanarkshire
North Lanarkshire Council has commissioned Knight, Kavanagh & Page (KKP) to conduct a sports and sports facilities strategy. They will work in partnership with NLL & sportscotland in a bid to increase participation levels in sport, improve the quality of services for customers and support talented athletes.
The process
First, KKP will work with the Council and its partners to identify its vision for sport across the area. Only then will the team be able to translate this into a facility strategy. The key stages of the study are outlined below and include:
- Background research
- Consultation and on-line survey
- Development of a Sports Strategy
- Preparation of a Key Issues paper
- Development of a Sports Facilities Strategy
- Audit of current facilities
To ensure that all interested parties are kept up to date with progress as well as providing a forum for securing further consultation feedback please visit the KKP website by usuing the "External Links" box at the right of your page.
Your views count...
North Lanarkshire Council is keen to hear as wide a cross section of views and opinions on sport as possible and is looking to capture this through to a series of online surveys.
The Sports club survey should be completed if the primary focus of your club is sport. This will provide you with an opportunity to highlight ongoing issues and challenges that can hopefully be addressed within the strategy:
· Sports club survey
If you represent a non-sport community organisation, such as a playgroup, youth club or tennants and residents association, please complete the Community groups survey. You can let us know what you think of the sports service across North Lanarkshire, the relevance to your members and your ideas on how it could be improved:
· Community groups survey
Please take a few minutes to complete an on-line survey. Your comments will be treated in confidence and could help to shape the future sports provision in North Lanarkshire.
If you have any further questions, or require any further information about the projects, then please do not hesitate to contact Victoria Taylor at KKP (victoria.taylor@kkp.co.uk) or by using the "Contact Us" box at the right of your page.
