The SFA and North Lanarkshire football development department is pleased to provide information on all football development initiatives that will take place across North Lanarkshire during 2007. Aspiring footballers and coaches of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to participate in our programme of enjoyable educational courses.
In this booklet you will find general information on all initiatives for children, youths, girls, specialist provision and coach education. We also offer a series of holiday programmes for youngsters and a club development programme where girls and boys teams can train like the professionals.
Player development pathway - 'find your level'
The North Lanarkshire football development programme is committed to creating opportunities that will cater for all players of varied age and ability. Youngsters involved in the programme will be able to find a level that suits their current development capabilities thus enhancing enjoyment through achievement. Our initiatives include curricular/extra curricular provision in schools, recreational activity for children of all ages, development programmes for youth and holiday provision for all.
Our SFA qualified coaches, many of whom are current and former professional players, play a key role in the development of all participants. In North Lanarkshire we adopt a long term approach to player development. We are committed to creating an environment that encourages and supports participants at every level to help them fulfil their potential and remain involved in our sport for many years.
