Victoria primary is a non-denominational, co-educational school covering stages primary one to seven and nursery. In addition to links with the home, the school is very aware of the importance of fostering links with the local community and encouraging the children to take part in community life. |
| We invite members of the community to come to the school either to talk to the children or to be entertained by them. For instance, at Christmas and Harvest we invite residents of Ferguson House and Victoria Gardens to be part of our audience at our special assemblies. The local fire safety officer, community police officer and safe play worker, among others, visit the school to talk to the children. |

|
The children participate in local activities such as athletics competitions, cross country races, football and netball tournaments. Frequent visits are made to local exhibitions, displays, pantomimes, safe play areas, sports centre and swimming pool.
The children are encouraged at all times to show courtesy, respect and good manners to all members of the community. We are very proud of them and find them to be a credit to themselves and the school.
Pupils normally transfer from primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5 so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least four years of secondary education. Pupils from Victoria primary normally transfer to Airdrie Academy.
