Situated in Motherwell, Logans primary school is a co-educational, non-denominational school covering the stages primary one to primary seven. The school provides various extra curricular activities including a school choir, which currently involves over 50 children. Annual concerts, carol singing and choir evenings are held in school and in the community. Everyone is welcome to these most enjoyable evenings. |
| In the weeks prior to the summer show, drama sessions are held during lunchtimes and often after school. This is done in addition to drama work in class. Logans is fortunate to have a vast amount of open areas around the school suitable for a variety of sports. Badminton, netball, playgroup games, table games and an art club are all held after school. |

Parents are encouraged to take an active interest in their child's education. From our first encounter with any parent, sincere efforts are made to foster good, honest relationships. Parents are invited to make use of the school's "open door" policy, whereupon the head teacher will endeavour to answer queries or investigate difficulties. Parents support the school in many ways eg helping at discos, fund-raising events, assemblies and services, attending assemblies, choir concerts, summer shows and open days.
Some adults accompany our many walks in Strathclyde Park or indeed enjoy becoming helpers during the school day. Logans is supported by a school board made up of four parents, two co-opted members; a staff representative and the head teacher. At times we invite parents and adults to special social events for our children eg P6 and P7 Burns' Ceilidh is a big success every January. Our intention is frequently to show the child's full potential to the parents in the school setting.
Pupils normally transfer from primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5 so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least four years of secondary education. Pupils from Logans primary normally transfer to Braidhurst High School.
